Hope you are making the most of your long Memorial Day weekend!
I want to share a moment from our last hike that made the turn of the seasons exceedingly clear.
It was just three of us - Daniel, Lilian, and I on a cool and peaceful morning walk along the Chattahoochee. Perfect weather along a calm river… The kind of hike that I need after a busy week of home repair emergencies. But when we emerged from the shaded canopy into the parking lot, the sun hit my skin and made one thing very obvious: summer is here, and it is not playing around. I was glad I put on sunscreen.
It was about the right temperature for a swim.
Which reminds me of something Madison and I have been brainstorming for a while.
We are planning a summer around staying cool and getting outside. I am thinking about a float down the river… tubes or kayaks? more details coming soon. Paddleboarding, swimming holes, and a few other shapes of aquatic adventures too. The calendar is filling up and I think you are going to like what's coming. Got an idea? Shoot me a text. everything goes in the hat.
This community is forming around something simple: people who want adventure and people who want community. We call it a community formed on the trail and shaped by wilderness. New people are joining every week and I keep hearing the same thing… People want to get outside and find their people. That is exactly what this is :)
If you haven not already, the next step is getting set up on Boots. It is our event hub where every hike, hang, virtual meeting, river trip, and adventure gets organized. The real fun happens on the trail. This is how you get there.
Glad you're here.
